2011-2012 Board of Directors

Jim Landman
He has been a board member since 2005, and is the current Chairman. Jim is the owner of Landmark Coffee. His brother Paul has lived at Gateway Center since 1978. His parents, Carl & Doris Landman, are actively involved and have supported Gateway for over 25 years.

Christopher Panetta
He has been a board member since 2002. Chris is a lawyer with Fenton & Keller. He is also the President of the Seaside Rotary Club and a board member of Catholic Charities.

Debra Reid
She has been a board member since August, 2009. Debra is currently employed at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, as an RN Case Manager. She is also involved with First Presbyterian Church in Salinas. She adds that she is very excited to be on the board and she is looking forward to the new and exciting programs at Gateway.

Leon Heller
He has been a board member since October, 2002, and is semi-retired (caregiver). Leon's daughter, Becky, attends Gateway Center's Day Program. He is also a member of Gateway's Finance and Fund Development Committee's.

Mez Benton
She has been a board member since 2008, and is retired school principal. Mez is the grandmother of Lisa Santos, a Gateway Center resident. She is also a board member of JTM Corporation (Parent Corporation of Episcopal Senior Communities).

Don Hunt

He has been a board member since early 2010, and is a retired CPA.

Kristina Olfson
She has been a board member since January, 2009. Kristina is an RN employed with Heartland Hospice. She also volunteers her time to the Stevenson Parent Club and the Fund Development & Capital Campaign Committees at Gateway Center.

W. B. Parham, Jr.
He has been a board member since 2008. William is the owner of PSTS, Inc. His daughter, Melissa, is a Gateway Center resident. He is also the President of Grassland Resource Conservation District.

Francis (Tony) A. San Flippo
He has been a board member since 2007, and is a retired Dentist. He is also a board member for the Kiwanis Club of Monterey, OSIA (Order Sons of Italy in America) and volunteers his time for Meals on Wheels.

Terry Wecker
He has been a board member since 2002. Terry is the Manager and a Realtor for both Custom House and Big Green Zucchini Real Estate and Property Management. His father, John F. Wecker, co-founded Gateway Center and his brother John (now deceased) was a long-time resident. In addition, Terry has been a member of The Rotary Club of Monterey for 28 years, the Compari Club of Monterey for 36 years, and Gold Coast Rods Inc. for 16 years (President for 8).

Nels Wiegand
He has been a board member since 2000, and is the owner of Community Collision Centers. Nels is also a member of the The Rotary Club of Monterey and the Elks Club.
