Jodi Hayes

Jodi (Richter) Hayes brings many years of hospitality experience to the Board of the Gateway Center of Monterey County. As a previous Director of Sales/Marketing/Catering of BayView Hotels and Consultant with Meeting Solutions, Inc., she has also served on several Boards: Violence Prevention Center of Monterey and The Family First Project of Monterey. Jodi is delighted to become a part of the Gateway Center of Monterey County and focus on the support of fundraising efforts to benefit the residents of the Center.


Vice Chair

Jim Landman

He has been a board member since 2005, and is the current Chairman. Jim is the owner of Landmark Coffee. His brother Paul has lived at Gateway Center since 1978. His Family is actively involved and have supported Gateway for over 25 years.



Frances Greenberg

Frances Greenberg has been a board member since 2012. She is a Business Development Officer at Wells Fargo Commercial Bank. Her past volunteer experience includes: founding board-member of Contra Tiempo as well as a mentor, for both Step-up Women's Network and JVS-LA.



Mark Elstob

Mark Elstob is a retired CPA. He is the owner of Romarco Properties. His brother Christopher moved into Gateway Center in 2015.


Leon Heller

He has been a board member since October, 2002, and is semi-retired (caregiver). Leon's daughter, Becky, attends Gateway Center's Day Program. He is also a member of Gateway's Finance and Fund Development Committee's.


Mez Benton

She has been a board member since 2008, and is retired school principal. Mez is the grandmother of Lisa Santos, a Gateway Center resident. She is also a board member of JTM Corporation (Parent Corporation of Episcopal Senior Communities).


Terry Wecker

He has been a board member since 2002. Terry is the Manager and a Realtor for Custom House Realty and Property Management. His father, John F. Wecker, co-founded Gateway Center and his brother John (now deceased) was a long-time client. In addition, Terry has been a member of The Rotary Club of Monterey for 28 years, the Compari Club of Monterey for 36 years, and Gold Coast Rods Inc. for 16 years (President for 8).


W. B. Parham, Jr.

He has been a board member since 2008. William is the owner of PSTS, Inc. His daughter, Melissa, is a Gateway Center client. He is also the President of Grassland Resource Conservation District.
