FINANCIAL INFORMATION:

Gateway Center is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, with an annual operating budget of approximately 3 million dollars. Our major source of income is from fees for services, which we receive from state funds. However, these sources are not adequate to fund the total cost of providing quality programs and staff. To make Gateway’s dreams a continued reality for our special people, we must make up over 15% of our total budgeted with contributions, bequests in wills, charitable trusts, grants, and fund-raising events.

VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES:

Everyone who works directly with Gateway Center’s clients is required to be fingerprinted and have their background checked through the Department of Justice and the FBI, thereby limiting opportunities to work directly with clients. However, volunteer opportunities are available for fund-raising events, helping prepare six annual mailings and for service on the Board of Directors and its committees.
